2014 - cancelled probably due to funds going to the WW1 exhibitions
2015 - IT's on again, first time in 3 years ;D ;D
Just to let you know the AWM will have their storage shed open day on Saturday 5th September 2015 in Canberra from 9am to 3pm

During WW2 The town of "Best" was fought heavily. Sadly 2 men earned the Medal of honor after they where killed in Best.

We have some great military museums in the netherlands. One of them is "Liberty Park" in Overloon.
Once a year (may) they organize a great event "Militracks". During this event you can see the museum + working vehicles.

Here's a few photos I took in France that I suspect will be of interest to those who visit this forum. The Renault picture was taken at the army museum in Paris. The others were taken in the town of Arromanches, where an artificial harbour was constructed to support the D-Day landings. The town does have a dedicated museum, but these museum pieces were scattered about the town. You can see some remnants of the artificial "Mulberry" harbour in the background of the halftrack photo.
