I've been asked this many times....'Can I connect the high voltage flash units to the MAKO?' The answer is YES. There is nothing MAKO can't do :)

The flash units only use 3 wires in reality. The yellow and brown wire that are present are only to connect to the microswitch on the recoil unit to provide the 'horribly out of sync' cannon sound and action.

For reference the wires on the flash unit are as follows

Red wire on flash is ‘V+’
Black wire on flash is ‘Signal +’
Blue wire on flash is ‘V0’

Connect ‘V+’ Red wire of flash to MAKO2 using any MIDDLE pin on connections 3,4,or 5 (5V+)
Connect ‘V0’ blue wire of flash to MAKO2 using any OUTER pin on connections 2,3,4,or 5 (GND, V0)
Connect ‘Signal +’ black wire of flash to MAKO2 using the Cannon LED+ pin, Inner pin of connection 2

Below is a video of how to make these connections

You can use cables as shown in video OR simply push/pull out the falsh wires from the 5 pin plug and connect them direct to the MAKO2.

Cheers
KG
