For those of you who do not know MAMBA it is the name given to the connection to a MAKO2 unit that will enable speed reduction in line with battle damage. MAKO receives the hit and passes the info to the RC2TG or RC5HL on the MAMBA connection and speed is reduced.
Here at RCTA we believe in a more realistic speed reduction scenario BUT are mindful of all the Tamiya die hards. So with the RC2TG we have a compromise with speed reduction as follows:
Medium Tank
1st hit - 55%
2nd hit - 50%
3rd hit - 45 %
4th hit - 25%
Surely the Tami boys won't complain too much about the ratios given that the average overall reduction for the first 3 hits is 50%.
We have done this without a change to the existing design and any current RC2TG owners only need the update the firmware on the board. MAMBA uses only ONE wire (that is one reason why it's a snake name) which connects the Program RX pin on the RC2TG to the MAMBA signal pin on the MAKO2.
Cheers
