Engine Start/Tank Ignition:
All tank ignition commands are sent on CH5 (switching channel) at startup. Once the tank has turned on CH5 reverts to general switching control of the lights and smoke with the exception of +100 which retains engine control and toggles the engine or shuts the engine down (tank off).
NOTE: CH5 switching REQUIRES A TOGGLE TYPE ACTION that means you must ALWAYS return to neutral (0%) after activating the switch.
STARTUP:
+100% - Engine start 1
+50% - Engine start 2
0% - Neutral
-50% - Engine start 3
-100% - Engine start 4
OPERATIONAL:
+100% - [Short toggle] - Engine off, [Long toggle] - Tank shutdown & restart
+50% - Smoke unit on/off
0% - Neutral
-50% - Aux light on/off
-100% - Headlight on/off
SPECIAL FUNCTION:
At startup Asp is also scanning CH7. If the main machine gun is turned on (-100%) and the tank started on CH5 Asp will toggle the rates of fire for the machine guns between a rapid rate suitable for the German MG42 and a slower rate suitable for allied machine guns. This setting is then stored in Eeprom and does not have to be repeated each time at startup. To change mode back again simply repeat the process.
Cheers
