To be honest the videos are not of much help without any commentary. The first three look great - I mean everything is synced up perfectly. Third vid in particular has all the action correct EXCEPT I can not see the bb come out of the cannon. Is this the problem? I take it the last video shows the barrel fully recoiled and then the bb coming out.

If this is the case. AS before I will have to do a custom edit for you such that the trigger for recoil happens as soon as you fire. Now I will also have to edit the recoil sirvoe program to give you two additional variables

1. Delay before the recoil happens - I think the recoil is way faster than the bb motor so you will need to delay the recoil a bit so that it arrives in the recoil position just before the bb is fired. You will need trial and error to work out the timing for your setup.

and
2. A hold time to ensure the bb is out before the recoil moves back to the ready to fire position

Cheers
KG

Kevin,

Please take a look at these and let me know what you think.

Thanks,
John

Sorry, not well versed in posting the actual Youtube videos ;)

Yes, I did receive the Juno board. I was having issue with the second channel for sound. (There wasn't any amplification) I will put together a video so that you can see what is happening when the Airsoft unit fires and the servo recoils.

Thanks,
John

First up did you get an extra Juno in the post?? Seems I've confused the Asp "John Owners" and sent one to you instead of over to the UK.

Without seeing your setup it is really hard. But you would need a custom modification of the main program such that as soon as you go to fire the servo recoils. The servo will recoil must faster than the windup for the bb motor so it will get to the recoil position first BEFORE the projectile fires. The trigger to put the servo back could then be taken from the microswitch.

Activate fire - Servo recoils and bb motor winds up
Servo at recoil position and holding
BB is fired and microswitch activated
Microswitch activation causes servo to return to postion

Up to you when you want the sound trigger - at activate fire OR when BB is released.

Cheers

I am at an impasse with the recoil with airsoft. Due to the barrel not being in the recoiled position when the projectile is released for the airsoft unit. I know we had spoken in the past about this and that it would be just a guess on the timing but that is the only way i can foresee this working. If yo have any other ideas they are more than welcome.

Thank you,

John
