For anyone getting a RC2TG evaluation board here is a video on how to assign a unique ID to your board (using the 6 pos dipswitch) and then bind your RC2TG to the Taigen MFU.

NOTE: If you plan to use the Turnigy 8 channel receiver - like the RC5HL you will need to swap around ch2 and ch3. Plus place a bind plug across the pins marked CH6. (CH6 from the receiver is NOT connected to the RC2TG.

After many months of work our RC2TG board is finally available. The RC2TG allows for the control of the Taigen 2.4 gHz MFU using a real 2.4gHZ radio.

The advantages of this upgrade are many. By using standard R/C gear for the Taigen MFU users are able to customise their tank with a wide variety of extra control features. Some of these features may depend on the RC system used but here is a list of what can be achieved:

1. Model matching
2. Proportional control of turret/gun elevation
3. Lighting/smoke unit control
4. Turret/gun stabilization
5. Sound module upgrades
6. Servo support - gun recoil/elevation/hatch opening....
7. Volume control
8. Telemetry (display of battery voltages/current)

We have 7 of these initial RC2TG boards that we are will to provide to any Taigen tank owners out there that are interested in testing these boards and willing to cover the cost of postage. HOWEVER, you MUST have a Turnigy 9X, 9XR, 9XRPro running tankER9X or a Taranis radio and know how to program your radio. Nothing too complicated but you must know how to assign a switch to deliver:
+100% - to turn tank on
-100% - to turn tank off.
Such a template already exists in tankER9X in both the RCXHL and Taipan templates.
