Problem was you needed to solder the 3 connecting wires to pads on the underside of the RX18 and it was here that many users baulked. As a result the Dragon and ultimately the Komodo boards came into existence providing a solder free way of blocking the recoil. These solder free boards used a '-' signal sent by the RX18 to block the recoil and the poor old ATRC which uses a '+' signal to block the recoil got overlooked. That is until now.
For some unknown reason Heng Long have changed all the timings in the fire sequence on the new 2.4gHz boards. No longer does a '-' signal pre-empt the track recoil. The '+' signal is back in fashion. So by plugging and old ATRC into a Komodo cable the ATRC now becomes a solder free means of track removal.
SO now there are two solder free ways to stop the recoil on the new 2.4gHz Heng Long boards
ATRC
and
Komodo+
The main difference is only Komodo+ will allow you to continue to use your high tension flash. So the ATRC will be more suited to airsoft tankers
Cheers
