Hey All, Ok since the 9XR is no more it is time to move onto the Pro. The BEST thing about the Pro is the ability to replace a number of the 2 position switches with 3 position ones allowing for a greater range of function control. HOWEVER, for some unknown reason HK have not taken advantage of this and ship the radio without either the 3 position switches added NOR appropriate firmware.
Fortunately it is not too hard a job the hardest thing is possibly getting the right sized switches. I have found a source for switches.
RCTA is not doing this mod on the Pro for various reasons so if you get yourself a Pro here is a video series of how to add these switches.

Just an update to the above.....
I have finally got round to updating tankER9XPro and the way ersky9x handles the switch assignment has changed.
In HARDWARE you need to set.
ELE switch ANA
RUD switch ELE
AIL switch DAC1

The switches are 7.5 x 12 mm approximately. The extension for the lever is 5mm in diameter. I do not know if the thread is imperial or metric. Of course you can always open up your 9XR Pro and take measurements from the switches that are already in there since those are what you are replacing. I use er9x firmware, so possible?

No - only with a 9XR Pro board You should add a 9Xtreme board to the plain 9X - then you can add as many 3 position switches as you want. http://smartieparts.com/shop/index.php? ... cts_id=378 Cheers KG
