Hi, the M 4 105 Howitzer Sherman is from French 2e Division Blindée ( Gen. Leclerc ) 501e Régiment de Chars de Combat, head quarter company. The M 16 Half-track is from 1e Armée Française ( Gen. de Lattre de Tassigny ) 3e Division d'Infanterie Algérienne ( Gen. de Monsabert ) 37e Groupe FTA ( anti aircraft platoon ). The Jeep is the personal vehicule of Capitaine Dronne ( 2e Division Blindée, 9e compagnie du Régiment de Marche du Tchad, first allied vehicule to enter in Paris the August 24 1944, the famous inscription on the jeep means " death to fucking cunt " for which Gen. de Gaulle said " Vast Program " ! Hi, to make a RC Danbury Jeep you need one Jeep and one 1/24 scale Sumo Crawler for the motorisation first, dismantle the Jeep, made a rubber mould to cast plastic additional rear wheels. They will be necessary to make the Bantam 1/4t trailer. 100_2791.JPG Make a hole in the jeep floor between the seats at the dimensions of the Sumo motor. 100_2801.JPG 100_2801.JPG continuation on next post. Hi, the suspension springs are mounted on the chassis by means of 1mm screws and nuts and 1mm dia. brass shackles. the 1mm dia. brass bar pass through the welded tubes on spring and the 2 trunions of the differential boxes. To block the rotation of the rear wheel axles, two short links are fastened between the wheel hub and the differential box. The steering servo is glued against the inside of the right chassis spar. 100_2811.JPG 100_2815.JPG 100_2817.JPG Reassemble the jeep and insert the RC receiver under the chassis along the left spar and glue the main switch under the chassis just in front of the gasoline tank. The next post will descibe the electrical supply. Boris |

Hi, as it is impossible to insert 4 AA batteries into the jeep, I have made a Bantam 1/4t trailer in which it is possible to put batteries, it is the reason of the 2 supplementary wheels I've made : 100_2834.JPG 100_2891.JPG 100_2890.JPG The electrical connection between the trailer and the jeep is made of coaxial wire and SMB connectors.
