Thanks Admin, Will shortly be posting pics, vids and mods on my M1A2. Had undergone TIGER programme (480 motors) to propel this 10 kg tank to ~ 50 kph. SEP is planned (El Mod, 12 V), and be implemented soon. Weight due to 4 x 2000mAH powerpack, 2 x 1.8 units of metal Pershing tracks and metal-plastic gearbox with 480 motors. Currently, this is how it is for now. Latest video is as below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iozoukmu ... r_embedded Cheers! |

Love that turbine sound! It looks great! Have you put some thought about weathering this beast? |

Thanks Kamaz, Yes, will do weather this once i'm satisfied with the electronics and tracks...for now it performs well. However, El Mod and/or SGS needs to be contemplated on this. Kenny Kong tracks or nod my met Pershing with rubber pads? El mod or SGS? Its already ~ 50 kph scale, and I do need to get to 60. Probably El Mod + 12 V or SGS (not the 3 kg limit?). Any advice and or reference material? |

Well about reference there is allways http://m1a1.primeportal.net/ Our Admin knows a bit more about eletronics. Rubber padded tracks work fine on concrete and asphalt, but I don´t think they´ll do any change on soft terrain (dirt/sand/gravel). Nevertheless Abrams is more ´on road´ than ´off road´ tank (with it´s 70Tons) and runs pretty fast on roads. |
