Originally with Heng Long electrics and TX you had to use a diode to force a trigger for the flash and IR to work. With the RC2HL installed and operating via switch on the Turnigy 9x does this "trigger" diode need to be used?

No you don’t need the diode mod. When you push up with the left thumb stick that has same action as pushing the K button on the HL controller transmitter, so fires IR, activates the flash, get the sound and track recoil (if no ATRC fitted)

I gather this means when using a servo recoil with an RC2HL and Mako the 2 pin (from the 5 + 2) trigger does not do anything
