Hi Kevin,
as a suggestion for any future development on the hammerhead, would it be possible to have two different colours in the leds to show hits received and shots fired.
On the battlefield the flashing red led can be mistaken for a shot when it is really a hit. :?
Possibly red and green to show the difference. :?:

Cheers

Hi AK

No probably not in the near future as there is already a new team indication LED on the new Piranha. That means you if you are on the red team you are always going to have a red led on. A green LED if on the green team. The indication LEDs are moving to Orange (more like the Tamiya colour I think). You all do realise that you have friend or foe with Asp/MAKO.

The indication LEDs only flash twice very briefly to indicate that reload is over whereas hit indication is 4 to 8 rapid flashes (more flashes and quicker the more hits received). If this difference is not enough then an alternate solution would be to choose to have no reload indication. Now I have actually been working on the reload over notification coming from the 9X radio itself rather than MAKO/Piranha. Using the timer functions of the 9X you can set the reload period to count down from when you fire and maybe give a voice notification from the radio when the timer reaches zero.

So the short answer - no can't do different colours (for now) BUT for now I can give you the option to turn off reload over LED flashing. From there you can either live with no notification or transfer notification to your 9X.

Hi Kevin,
that sounds like a great compromise. :D
The option to turn off reload LED flashing would be good, and to be notified by the 9x is even better.
Would the option to turn off reload LED be something that is possible with the existing Asp/Mako/ Piranha units or would it be with future batches ?

Thanks
AK

Hopefully it can be just another addition to the programming of the MAKO on the Juno/Asp board. There are already so many options one more can't hurt.

I dont like the reload flash neither, so being able to remove it is another great perk of the asp. :)

Well at least when it happens you guys know that you have sent a fire signal to the Mako and it has fired. I use it all the time to let me know that things are working. Mind you that was in the pre-Asp days. With Asp I guess you have lots of other signals that a shot is fired.

It also tells other people if you have fired a normal round or a 2-shot kill round. 2 flashes for a normal round and 3 for a 2 shot kill. If your club or game is not allowing 2 shot kill rounds then it is a way to tell who is cheating.

Maybe I'll make off the default and you have to turn it on if you want it.

Cheers
KG
