Hi Andy
If you have managed this update then you are set. I hope you have had no problem with disk images. If not familiar with the concept then is can be a bit different to usual file transfer stuff.
Next step is to document what each of the 180+ sounds on Asp is for and the guides for changing them.
Cheers KG

I have purchased a usb board to make my own cable. from left to right my board has gnd, cts, 5v, txd, rxd, and dtr. On the servo cable, black to gnd red to 5v and white to tx? Also, i cannot find a 3 pin connector like you have anywhere. perhaps i dont know the correct name to call it when searching. thanks for any help

The header for RCTA programming is 2.54 pitch MALE machined headers (swiss pin) on eBay http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=ma ... acat=12576Very important DO NOT CONNECT to 5V. The 3 program wires are RX, GND & TX in that order. GND is the middle pin. You must power Asp separately. This way you can not fry the controllers by incorrect connection of the program cable. With GND as the middle pin - if you connect TX and RX around the wrong way all that will happen is that you get a message that the device was not found on the COM port. Swap cable around to fix. Cabling is however, PART B - you need to get PART A done first. 1. install the FTDI breakout and set onto COM port 5 2. Use the FTProg utility to apply the correct template to the FTDI chip (I'm sure that I have sent it to you "TheWorkingCable") Only once you have done these two first you can get onto the cable. OF course there is no reason why you can not solder your own permanent or temporary type connector to the ports. Cheers KG
