For those brave souls wanting to add recoil to your airsoft cannon this video shows how to connect a sirvoe board to the Flash connector. Connecting the sirvoe board here will sync the recoil action with the firing of the bb. Asp MUST be set to Airsoft mode whenever airsoft operation is required.
Cheers KG

Hi John
I have sent you the cable used in this video to connect sirvoe to the flash port. I have also sent you some extras for being one of the first to order. You will also be getting an update cable, a Universal Remote for programming the onboard MAKO chip and I have swapped out the aRUBA for a Piranha.
There is another feature to the sirvoe board I did not mention and that is the jumper on the board. If you need the servo to operate in reverse simply remove the jumper.
No doubt there will be further features/improvement/new sounds over the week or two that Asp is in the post. Your update cable will make sure you are fully up to date.
Cheers KG

I know Imex/Taigen are bringing out a recoil/BB unit so this would suit them. Would be a bloody hard mod I think LOL Cheers Gra

Gra,
I have the mechanics worked out. I just need to see if the timing will be correct. The fun is in the challenge. I'll bet Kevin can attest to that....
Thanks Again John

Can't wait for the challenge to be over though....
The timing should be correct as long as you have a microswitch that closes the moment the projectile is fired
Cheers KG

Kevin,
Is there a way that I can get a longer stroke on the servo?
Thanks, John

Kevin,
I am at an impasse with the recoil with airsoft. Due to the barrel not being in the recoiled position when the projectile is released for the airsoft unit. I know we had spoken in the past about this and that it would be just a guess on the timing but that is the only way i can foresee this working. If yo have any other ideas they are more than welcome.
Thank you,
John

Hi John
First up did you get an extra Juno in the post?? Seems I've confused the Asp "John Owners" and sent one to you instead of over to the UK.
Without seeing your setup it is really hard. But you would need a custom modification of the main program such that as soon as you go to fire the servo recoils. The servo will recoil must faster than the windup for the bb motor so it will get to the recoil position first BEFORE the projectile fires. The trigger to put the servo back could then be taken from the microswitch.
Activate fire - Servo recoils and bb motor winds up Servo at recoil position and holding BB is fired and microswitch activated Microswitch activation causes servo to return to postion
Up to you when you want the sound trigger - at activate fire OR when BB is released.
Cheers KG
