Well each day the wait gets shorter. Thanks to all who have pre-ordered and mostly thanks for your patience. I have been editing both the firmware and the board design constantly. Below is the design sent away for production. Unless there is an error this will be the new layout.



The design is as expected very similar to before with the main changes being:

1. New main 44 pin micro controller
2. IR/Airsoft selector moved to edge
3. New 5V design
4. JST-ZH connectors on update ports
5. Ability to select battery voltage for motor driven recoil units or 5V for servos
6. 3 expansion ports, Advanced smoke, advanced turret and TBA
7. Optional JST-ZH outputs from the usual 8 pin hull connector
8. LEDs for both Battery voltage and 5 V supply

NOTE 1. If you are new to ASP and are wondering about servo control- Asp comes with details on how to setup the 9X series of radios to control as many servos as you can. Any decent radio can control servos (it is their main job). Other board manufactures will not tell you how to do so and make you think that you can only control servos easily using their boards. NOT TRUE. We have upped the amperage on the ASP2 circuit to allow control of 4 even 5 servos. Even if your radio can't do this there remains our Sirvoe board as a solution.

NOTE 2. The JUNO sound board that sits atop Asp has also had a redesign to make the ports more accessible. Extra functions have also been added to JUNO. PLUS with the addition of the voice command sets the in use sounds available for Asp now total more than 300 CD quality wav files. More on this in an upcoming post.
