Appreciate the honesty

The T6K can still be a bit of a bugger.
Most early Asp were all sent out with a programmer as a freebie as the firmware was always going to be updated.
All RCTA boards can be updated with a FTDI Basic Breakout type dongle which is a very common item and can be purchased off ebay for $3
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=ft ... t&_sacat=0The drivers are so common plugging into your computer for the first time Windows will automatically find and install them
Then all you need to do is use the utility below to put the FTDI board on COM port 5
Reassign COMNo Utility.rar
Then install the following program to set up the FTDI to 'talk to" the RCTA boards
FT_Prog_v2.8.2.0 Installer.zip
Apply the template below to the FTDI board and makeup a cable and jobs done.
TheWorkingCable.zip
I do plan to put a video tutorial on this process up. The point is that you can readily and cheaply get a programming cable ($3). There is nothing special about them. However it would cost be $3 alone to post one out. If I do put up program dongles in the shop they would be over the $10 mark.
Cheers
