i bought a tamiya static Porsche KT ten years ago for 180 euro nice priced , decided two years ago to start to convert an jagtiger from a KT on 1/16 ... the wecohe conversion set was way to expensive ... so i deciden to cut thru the chassis and upperbody and add 26,5mm on bothe and reinforce it with aluplale and little screws
was looking after this calliote on prececision kits but it was out of production

a few later on foto's
on the chassis and upperbody was added 26,5 mm on 1/16 for scale effectiveness

many details were added in the proces , first forgotten or unknown off it is just like a learning process, you think you know all about your jagdtiger but get new stuff all the time when discover new sources of info
By at 2011-08-18
the trackhooks ... yes ... also plasticprofile reinforces with metal bar on the superstructure

one of the things i didn't mentioned by the build was the lowering of the gunners and drivers compartment, i saw that in time but was unawere in the beginning on that

i lowered it 5mm so the calliote would be fitting
By at 2011-08-18
much to learn on such a conversion, but if you see your results after a time its rewarding to see it build up
drivers and gunnerscompartment cut totaly out
By at 2011-08-18
the first fit of the two components, the profesional kit calliote and the cut out compartment
By at 2011-08-18
don't look bad at all

I have also late metal KT tracks here at home, they are just stuning, rounded on the outsite gives is a very dangerous look, yes impacts
