Post subject: | Panzer IV and Photoshopping - Repost |
Repost from the old Hobby Havoc Forum Hi All Finally finished my first Heng Long tank a Pz IV Ausf F. Sorry, no great modification from the original HL offering as this tank was just a guinea pig for a number of products and techniques I have not used before. On my next Pz IV I'll try and correct as many of the errors as I can (rear idler, rear deck, air intake, vision hatches, and so on and so on.........) Still I couldn't live with my two pet hates, the moulded-on tools and the blue/white leds. The tools were replaced with metal ones and Aber's PE clamps added. I completely got rid of the horrid Heng Long leds and replaced them with warm-white surface mount leds. Metal tracks, sprocket & idlers were also added added and that was about it. Panzer_IV_451_5th_Panzer_Div.jpg Since lawn panzers look quite odd to me I decided to photograph on a makeshift 'blue screen' and then drop the tank into a background on photoshop (Paint Shop Pro actually). Here are the preliminary results: panzerIV_earlycolour.jpg panzerIV_steppe_early colour.jpg |
