viewtopic.php?f=164&t=1000However, since it is an 'edit' there is no "New Post" status. In future I will be adding posts here as well whenever a new feature is added to Asp. So here are the latest things coming in the next Asp Firmware Update.
Enhanced Smoke Unit Support
Further coding for better smoke unit operation has been underway and the next release will contain the following changes:
1. Start options 1 and 2 will automatically start the smoke unit. 3 & 4 will not.
2. If you purposely toggle off the smoke Asp will remember until you turn off Asp or toggle smoke back on again.
Motor Test Function
A motor test function has been added. By removing the Juno board and placing a common bind plug across the Juno inputs Asp will detect this and run through a procedure checking the motor functions.
6 Channel Operation
Finally, 6 channel operation mode is in development. Whilst 7 channel operation is best a 6 channel mode is being developed to allow for use with 6 channel radios and receivers. Like halftrack mode - simply do not connect channel 7 and Asp will revert to 6 channel operation.
4 Channel Operation
Since Asp is about providing the most "bang for your buck" of any tank controller a 4 channel operation mode is also in development. This mode will closely resemble the typical 4 channel operation of Tamiya tanks. Any radio currently controlling a Tamiya tank will be able to run Asp in this ultra-simple mode.
Custom Commander Voices
As an option to the WOT voice clips - Voice over "talent" has been visiting FireFish Studio for recording of unique Commander voices. First up will be a WW2 English Commamder voice set.
