SUPPER POWER PACK FOR 7.2v RC TANKS
Hi guys my first post . I come from an EV back ground build electric cars , bikes etc.
Found these Powertech AA 2500mAh Ni-MH from Jaycar. So made a 9.6v 5000mAh battery packs consisting of 16 AA 2500mAh Ni-MH batteries that fit in the normal Heng Long battery compartment This is more than 3 times the standed battery power , the extra volts helps to.
In the photo shows 17 but I did use 16 and used this clear plastic blister pack as the basis for the battery pack wired 2 x 8 series then 2 x 9.6v parallel 9.6v to make the 5000mAh battery pack.
I have not had any problems running at 9.6v so far but it shore makes the tanks get up and go. no problem with sluggish turns etc.
Also some pics of my tanks
What got me interested in tanks !! My freind Jeff has a real CENTURION TANK like the one in the bottom photo which I help him work on :wtf:
