Hi All Just a quick post to show off some of the new boards. First off the rank is: FLASH Flash200_800.jpg Flash_800.jpg This little board connects to the supply for the airsoft/recoil motor and provides a 10th of a second flash of an LED. Since the MAKO no longer does the cannon flash this little baby will take care of it. VIPER Viper_800.jpg I have updated the PotHead and given it an Ebay friendly name. Now called ‘Viper’ I have added some reverse polarity protection. ????? Pz34Mush1_800.jpg Pz34Mush2_800.jpg Don’t really know what to call this one.... It is an attachment to fit in the Panzer 3/4 cupola for mounting the IR sensor. 4 ultra bright red LEDs around the base. A bit specialized but save a lot of work adding IR to the Panzer 3 or 4. BERGEPANZER MAKO MAKO_BERG_800_labelled.jpg Finally the good old MAKO. Here is the Bergepanzer version that has a jumper. Remove the jumper and the full effect of the current limiting resistor is realised decreasing the range of the IR signal. Put in the jumper and IR range is back to normal. Also you can see the 3 pin header. Aux1 for the MAMBA and indicating LEDs and Aux2 for the ATRC. Cheers Kevin Grannum |

Hey Admtiger The sensor tower will fit into just about any Heng Long tank TIGER tiger_shroom.jpg KING TIGER kt_shroom.jpg KV-1 kv_shroom.jpg BULLDOG bulldog_shroom.jpg PERSHING pershing_shroom.jpg Pz III/IV p3_shroom.jpg The unit is not like the other boards it will be sent unassembled. The reason for this is that everyones mod is different and you may need to/wish to make some slight modifications yourself. All that will be provided are the 2 PCBs and the stacking headers. Not sure on the price but should be less than $10. Circular routing of PCBs isn't the cheapest thing. Cheers Kevin G |

Hey Admtiger, Yes you will need to solder everything up. Only thing supplied are the 2 PCBs and the 2 stacking headers. If a user wishes the two boards at a different spacing they will need to get spacers or headers to suit their requirements. You will also need to get your own LEDs of whatever colour and intensity. Also you will need to construct your own wiring/cable from the unit back to the RX18. This is very much a DIY assembly. Cheers Kevin G |

Hey Phyrephish, I am very interested in the Mako & add-on boards which are available for it because I'm going to be replacing the HL electronics in my 2 new tanks, a Panther G & KV-1 at some point later this year. As I understand about the Mako & its add-ons ... The ATRC can be added to a Mako to stop the hit shudder & death roll & lessen (JABB) the HL track roll when firing. When available, the Mamba can be added to simulate battle damage by slowing the motors after taking hits. Do any of the boards change the stock HL sounds for firing the main gun, machine gun, turret rotation, gun elevation, etc? Thanks. ~ Craig ~ |

Hi Craig Yes you have it right for all the boards. However, no to changing the sound. Sounds will be on the agenda AFTER Mamba release. Cheers |

Hey Phyrephish, thanks for that info, I'm waiting very anxiously for the release of the Mamba ... so here goes with more prying ... You may have been asked this or discussed this before, sorry if it's a repeat question. Are you considering or is it even possible to add the Tamiya 2 shot (maybe even 1 shot) kill mode on any tank class option to the Mako (similar to Impact's miniACT) ? Just wondering for using a mode like that if building a gun emplacement at some point. ~ Craig ~ |

Hey Craig Yes, when the guy that has the two shot Tamiya system ventures back my way I'll be able to get hold of the IR signal. However, it's not really the best way to go about such an effect. If added to the MAKO it would only affect Tamiya tanks. The next MAKO upgrade will feature a 'coup de gras' shot. That is the random chance that any single hit will destroy the tank there and then. Probably looking at a 1 in 50 chance to start with. In this way all MAKOs will be equal. The 2 shot Tamiya signal is at present a bit of a cheat really. Your gun emplacement will benefit more from a friend or foe system than the 2 shot. I am looking at the possibility of adding a freind or foe signal to long range artillery units. Cheers Kevin G |
