Hi all, My sample buy from ebay of a set of Tiger links arrived today. After measuring them for scale accuracy, scratching my chin and playing with them for little while, I thought "damn it all, I'm buying me me a tank!". Easier said than done though. I want to buy local (to support our fellow Aussies) but I notice there's lots of parts available, or at least advertised, but not many vehicles. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places... I looked on Ebay as well and there are some there, but I found one on a web page that looks the goods and was cheaper. It has the metal tracks, drive sprokets, idler wheels and gearboxes. It looks like an early production type (real Tiger I mean, drum cupola etc). Looking at $153 with postage. I'll phone them tomorrow. Incidentally. I see the mention of firing BB's. Surely this isn't allowed in Australia? Be good if I can use it though - I can have some fun ambushing the chook in the backyard ![]() Cheers, Michael |

Yeah it IS illegal (class a firearm) but customs don't seem to care. |

Hi Michael Good to hear your want to purchase a Tiger tank Post the link for the eBay tank, so we can check it out This site is an Aussie one http://tankarmy.com/heng-long-tank/index.php/cPath/1_32 Plenty if tanks to choose, Ozarmour is out of stock at the moment an other Aussie site The Tigers only come with BB's And yes they are illegal in OZ, usually they are glued up so will not work. BB's are good for a while but really you want to upgrade to IR and install a recoil. The tiger 1 is an early model Hope this helps Cheers Gra ![]() |

Thanks Zak and Gra regarding the BB's, just as I thought. Gra - I don't know how I missed TankArmy's page. I was looking at it the other day and must have forgotten it. Thanks for reminding me! I'm confused now (not hard to do). The TankArmy's upgraded Tiger looks the same as what I was looking at. TankArmy - http://tankarmy.com/heng-long-tank/prod ... ucts_id/29 What I was looking at - http://rchighperformancehobbies.neto.co ... b-3818-pro Are they not the same thing? I'd appreciate any advice. At the moment I'm leaning the cheaper way. Michael |

Hi there, well if the BB firing tanks are illegal in ozz then how do companies that sell them here get them in. Not as though they are trying to hide them, they are splashed all over that they fire BB's. If the ones comimng in here are glued up, I figure it would not be to hard to replace a gun motor etc and chuck out the glued stuff. CheersnBeers Ken |
