As great as the MAKO/RCTABU system is there has been one feature that has not been as integrated as I would like. That feature is motor speed reduction in line with battle damage. The MAMBA board attempted to provide this function however, MAMBA was an additional board that was expensive to produce. So it is not with too much regret that we announce the 'death' of the MAMBA board. However, the MAMBA concept still lives and and motor speed reduction will now become an integrated feature of the new RC2HL v3 and above. There will be no extra board to buy and no extra costs involved.
This means that motor speed reduction will now be available as standard for all MAKO2 and RC2HL V3 owners. In essence the MAMBA output of the MAKO2 now connects to an input on the RC2HL. For current owners of the MAKO2 and RC2HL this will involve chip upgrades and a very minor modification to the RC2HL board. The chip upgrade process will be done free of charge. Local customers can email to arrange a time to drop by and have their chips upgraded. Interstate and International customers can return their chips to RCTA along with $2.50 to cover return postage.
For further info RC2HL/MAKO2 customers are welcome to contact me.
Cheers
