Hey All A brief summary of all the new goodies that we have developed in the past 6 months. Many of these boards are totally unique and there is nothing else comparable in the RC Tank marketplace. I know too that many of the boards are not available in the webshop that will soon change. So let's have a look.... A] MAKO2 OK maybe MAKO2 was out before Xmas 2012 but there has been code improvements and design improvements since. The Swiss Army knife for IR battle. B] MANTA Manta is our diagnostic LCD board on steroids, featuring the REMORA system RX on board. The REMORA wireless system for R/C tanks is just one of the unique products for R/C tanks providing real time updates of your IR battle statistics. C] TAIPAN I know this is what you think that you are waiting for BUT Taipan has grown to become more than just a single board but rather a complete system. The focus for the past few months has been to bring all these units and make sure upcoming boards adhere to the Taipan System. Pictured here is the Taipan motor control board. Which is really just one part of the Taipan System. D] Pantherturm I have waited so long to produce this board. You can think of it as the 'top half' of Taipan. Full proportional control over turret rotation and gun elevation. User changeable sounds. A board to control a fixed gun emplacement. Uses 3 channels for operation with one of those channels as a dedicated 'switch channel'. This would allow you to control 1, 2 even 3 Panterturm at the same time from one radio. For example you could assign Pturm 1 to the left stick, Pturm 2 to the right and Pturm 3 to your pots and switches. A MAKO is required for IR battle. E] MAKO 4 Taipan Now with simple plug in support for high tension flash units. With Taipan the MAKO design is no longer chained to the restraints of having to work with the Heng Long or Taigen system MAKO can break free to unleash it's full potential and if you though MAKO did a lot before. Just you wait. F] REMORA Here is the little Remora TX board. This little board connects up to your MAKO board and gets about transmitting your MAKOs details and your battle statistics back to MANTA for display on a LCD screen. The REMORA system is totally unique to RCTA. Simply there is nothing like this available elsewhere. G] RC5HL Long overdue change to the RC2HL board. Now using the Taipan Protocol whereby CH5 becomes a dedicated switching channel. Not only is ignition transferred to CH5 but also the control for Switch 1 and 2. If your radio is set to control a RC5HL then is it Taipan ready. H] OCTOPUS Another board offering a function for the 9X radio that you will find nowhere else. How cool is Octopus? The fact that BTN GURU, Ger snapped up two before the solder on the boards even cooled is an indication. Finally a system that preforms a similar function to the 'model matching' of Spektrum radios for the 9X. Get up to 8 tanks and power them all up. Select which tank you wish to drive by selecting that model on your radio. Flick the ignition switch and that tank and only that tank will respond. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL.... I have not even mentioned any of the sound boards.... There is Andrew's soundboard for Taigen and Heng Long Tanks the next production of which will be the retail boards. Then there is JUNO the soundboard for the Taipan system. Plus continuing updates of older boards like Pothead which now gets the eBay friendly name of Viper. and there is the Piranha update planned for HammerHead..... So as you can see it has been a busy 6 months and I am yet to be able to run off to a tropical island and sit on the beach all day ![]() Cheers Kevin G |

Hey Ian Though you might like Panzerturm. Sorry it took so long but all the parts have finally come together. Will post a video soon - but with a turret on a hull as I have the turrets but no Panzerturm bodies as yet. Cheers KG |
