Hi All Thought it was about time to let on about just a few of the new developments/products for the first quarter of 2014. The biggest news id that RCTA boards are now going into "mass production" with 80-90% of assembly now being done in China. However, all programming and final QA testing is still carried out here in Australia. The first board into mass production is the MAKO TE Mass production will allows RCTA boards to have yet more features and or have a decrease in price. At less than $20 and FREE WORLDWIDE shipping, the MAKO TE is by far the cheapest way to bring battle IR compatibility to your Taigen or Heng Long tanks. Remora boards are also now available and they have now been upgraded with an alarm buzzer and hence function now as BOTH a transmitter of IR battle info AND a LiPo low voltage alarm. Currently in production are the latest version of the RC5HL which features improved and updated firmware along with some extra LEDs on the board to help indicate what is going on. These new boards will be available by the 2nd week of May 2014. Order now to receive a pre-order discount of 20%. As far as BRAND new products go. Here is just the first of a few on the design table. Introducing "Blue" Not earth shattering I grant you BUT darn handy and at less than $10 with FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING the easiest and cheapest way to add indicator LEDs to your Taigen or Heng Long mushroom. Teamed up with MAKO TE you have an extremely economical IR battle solution. Blue fits both the Heng Long and Taigen copy shrooms. It is a tight fit on the Taigen but Blue will get there ![]() Finally, on the more 'techy front' work is slowly progressing on PanzerX - the latest incarnation of tankER9X. Designed for the latest releases of 'open source' friendly radios. I could go on about PanzerX but I don't have enough time, suffice to say PanzerX does it all, 16 channels, model matching, sound, images, telemetry. multiple radio protocols..... Cheers KG |

Hi Phyrepish Congratulations mate on the mass production of your products, good to see after all the time and effort you have put into these tank electronics. I like the "Blue", so simple and be good to get some lights on my HL tower, does it plug into the RX 18 or do you need the Mako TE? Cheers Gra ![]() |

Hi Gra As you probably have guessed even though Nick made the Origin Squad he didn't get to go Canberra this weekend. Still we had a blinder of a game today against Wynnum thrashing them 56 -10 and even that was with only 11 of our boys showing up against 13. Not as good as whopping you cockroaches but there's a next time. Plus I hear it is a bit chllly your way at the mo. Blue works on anything that has a LED output which neither the Heng Long or Taigen boards do. Blue works with all the MAKO units, Tamiya MFUs, Clark, SGS, IBU, KFC,... anything with a LED out. Yes mass/automated production has finally freed up some time to make models ![]() Cheers Kev |

No worries mate, yes was a bit bloody cold, sorry freezing ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So I presume it works with El Mod, I use the LED outlet for barrel flash, how do you make it for the IR tower (Blue) ?? . Anyway I had a thought, could you make up a kit with the LEDs, some cable and a PCB to put in various spots on your tank for explosion effects when hit. Something to think about. Cheers Gra ![]() |

Wow Kevin Mako TE @ $20 inc shipping Blue @ $10 inc shipping Brilliant work, well done for all your effect to get it to this point. Now if you could create a small IR receiver with the hit LEDs at those kind of prices, you;de have a killer market here in the UK. Ian. |

Hi Ian Moving production to China has helped to cut cost by removing my assembly time. However, it is a bit of an outlay for each board so they are getting done in order. New RC5HLs should be here in a week now. The next will be Viper/Pothead and soon after will be the Hammerhead/Ir receiver. Cheers KG |

Looking forward to the Hammerhead, I've been struggling to design a compact IR receiver at reasonable costs. Ian. |

HI Scott. NO idea on the planet. If the planet conforms to proper hobby style RC protocols then yes it should. Most important requirements are: A - assign a switch to CH5 to go from neutral to +100% and B - your receiver must output the channel info in ascending order , ie: Ch1 first then CH2, then CH3 and so on Cheers K |

Hi Kevin, Yes the receiver does go from 1 to 6 in order.....and the Planet T5 digital 2.4 g radio is used on my sail boat and works fine. They are made in the UK.....and are sold here in Brisbane. I obviously don't want to purchase the RC5HL and find its not compatible. Thanks for your help Scott |
