I know if this was to work it would require some soldering but does the RX18 have a logic feed to trigger the sounds. By this I mean if say I send a logic one to a connection I can trigger the elevation/rotation sound without turning the turret. It seems an odd question but I fancy converting the Heng Long Tiger to servo elevation. Whilst I've seen this done, in all cases the elevation occurs without any matching sounds.

I would say use a servo lead y cable so the rc2hl is sending signals to the rx18 so your getting the sounds then connect a servo to the y cable to control the elevation.
Not certain if that will give full range of movement of the servo though.

There is of course one snag with a Y split and that is once you take your hand off the stick it will return to centre and thus reset the elevation servo.
