But if you want your tank to have some recoil (just like real one) you can upgrade Phyrephishs anti recoil unit (
viewtopic.php?f=82&t=19) so that tank recoils back a few centimeters after gun fires.
How does it work?
-when turret is rotated in front of tank, when tank fires, it recoils few centimeters back
-when turret is rotated in either side of tank, when tank fires, it does not recoil
-when turret is rotated in back of tank, when gun fires, it recoils a few cms forward.
Now, to do this, you need to build anti recoil unit (or buy one) and buy 4 zener diodes 1N4178 (or 1N4756A or BZX85C47-they all almost the same), two resistors from 10 Ohms and 4 micro switches (those with levers).

This is scheme of thing you have to add---that green stuff.
Micro switches are placed on upper hull (see pic below), so that ski that is fixed to turret rotation gear is swithcing them on when it passes over them.

Micros are placed as you can see in 45° degree off from tank center line, because turret rotation unit is sitting in place where forward micros should go(you can just relocate turret rotating unit so that forward micros can sit in their place). Take notice that forward micros are located in back and those from back are in front---why? Because ski is located on oposite side of turret gear and because you can´t fix it in front side of turret gear (airsoft gun will get blocked if you do so).
To make this picture easier for you to understand, if the turret was on it would be facing forward with gun barrel a few degrees on right. The ski has switched on those forward micros, so that current can pass in one direction (hence zener diodes) making tracks move just a bit in backward motion. Depending on your cable harness and its resisting load, you won´t be needing those 10 Ohms resistors (like me).
Also bare in mind that you have to test all thing before you permanently attach them, and don´t forget to grease ski and levers.
