Hi, new to this forum. I am a retired US Marine who is now entering the world of RC Tanks. I have been involved in RC ships for over 30 years so I am very familiar with Radio Control. I have recently entered the business end of the hobby. I am now doing conversions of 1/18 scale non RC tanks to RC. This all started with my interest in having my favorite tank in RC, the Patton M-48. I worked with these tanks in Vietnam during the 1960s and have always liked them. So now I offer a service of converting the 21st Century M-48 at my web site www.radiocontrolcustomtanks.com Come visit and check out my efforts. I am really having a ball with this tank and am trying to get some others in my area interested in RC tank combat. I am also trying to work up a suspension for this model, not an easy task. have any of you tried this? I would be interested in any ideas you might have. Are any of you Amature Radio operators? I am W2SGX. It would be fun to get on the air sometime. Enough for now, more later. NYleatherneck |
