Hi Kev, Noticed this awesome piece of IR gadget in your arsenal. Pretty neat and I do like to get it and promote it as well. Would you be able to provide more details pls.? 1. How many hits can it take? 1 I presume right? and is this configurable? 2. What is the encompassed time frame for the quasi random firing interval? is this between 2 secs and 60 secs? 3. As for the IR receiver, is this a standard Tamiya/Impact pin-out or Heng Long/Taigen? cheers,Rey |

H Rey 1 How many hits? Panzerfaust is destroyed after it looses its 4 units of health. Yes a slightly different concept. It works like this: Machine gun hit - 1 unit of health lost Normal tank shot - 2 units of health lost Tamiya 2 shot kill - 4 units of health lost 2. What is the encompassed time frame for the quasi random firing interval? is this between 2 secs and 60 secs? The interval range is between 15 and 30 seconds 3. As for the IR receiver, is this a standard Tamiya/Impact pin-out or Heng Long/Taigen? Before I answer this just so that everyone knows all the above IR receivers are compatible. The same components exist in all so they can all be interchanged once you match up the correct pins. As for your question the connector on Panzerfaust is a Heng Long/Taigen type arrangement. However I would suggest that the Panzerfaust user buys a cheap $1 IR receiver and wires it in. Finally, I have added a bit more functionality to Panzerfaust. It is now programmable and can be set to operate as either as the original Panzerfuast operation OR it can be set to operate as an Automatic Repair Station ( the Autoberg function found on MAKO) The usual Sony TV remote is used '2' -normal mode, '7' - AutoBerg. Finally (part 2) Panzerfaust has a big brother called Panzerschrek BUT the prototype board has one or two design errors so it is not available and will not be for a while. Panzerschrek is similar to Panzerfaust except it has an ultrasonic sensor which is panned across the battlefield using a servo. When an object comes into range it will fire at the object. Cheers KG |

Thanks Kev, that is certainly an interesting piece. All good now, all necessary items covered. Will also pass on to other interested tankers around. I was looking to mount it up an M16 half track with AT guys, making it a mobile AT team... cheers,Rey |
