suspension mod....this is an easy solution to lower the wheel axels of the HL Tiger 1 suspension (including Pantiger and Matorro tanks) i used a dremmel and ground out the bottom of the axel groove in the side of the hull and extended t by about 3.5mm these pics shows the HL suspension as is next pics shows modded axel holes bit hard to see but the axels are lower now it certainly makes a difference cheers gra

idler wheel bearing mod.... I drilled out the hub a bit with 10mm drill and fitted 2 x 10mm bearings, since have used the 5mm braces from the HL gearboxes, they run nice and straight put some screws in to hold the idler together, bit of paint covers it all up

another mod, added extra screw to the turret ring to strengthen it up and take out some of the wobble has 4 screws instead of 3 now also made the ring turn 360 deg installed a Taigen (was Asiatam) recoil unit, bit of a fiddley job (the mantlet comes with the kit) i bought the Mato BB barrel first, before i realised it was the bb version then bought the Taigen recoil version barrel with the brass muzzle brake put a small sleeve in the mantlet to keep the barrel centered i had raise the mantlet up as it was sitting to low on the turret and cut a new hole for the elevation arm then had to fine trim the recoil unit lever so when you fired the gun it would recoil straight away, as was it moved around for a few seconds before it would release the barrel cheers gra

Some great looking work there Gra. I'm considering going back to do some more work with my Tiger. So watching your build is definately making me want to get on and do it. Ian.

Nice mods, I may have to adopt a few of them. My asiatam recoil has been problematic from the get go. It seems to get jammed, and now as I said in another post it will not work at all. Disappointed in it. May have to disassemble it and lube it up and have another go.
