Hi Gra,
A lot of people have said that about the camo scheme I used for this one. I thought this camo pattern (M1929 telo mimetic) would make a change from the usual pea or splinter patterns. On researching it I was interested to read that the Italians introduced it in 1929, and it was in regular use up until the 1990's. When Italy capitulated during WWII the SS shifted all the machinery for production of this pattern to Czechoslovakia. It was used by all branches of Heer, Luftwaffe and SS in Italy and the Balkans. It was also used in Normandy by a couple of SS units, 1.SS-Panzer-Division “Leibstandarte SS Adolph Hitler" and 12.SS-Panzer-Division “Hitler Jugend", so it sometimes get referred to as "Normandy Pattern" , but is most usually known as Italian Pattern. It was the inspiration for some more modern Camo patterns too, most notably the old US woodland pattern owed a lot to it. Interesting stuff.
Since this tank has makings for s.Pz. Abt 504 during its time in Italy, I thought this pattern would fit the bill. I am not entirely sure I have completely nailed the look of the pattern but it is not too bad for a first go.
Glad you like the figure.
